Description

The chest tomb, located approximately 2 meters north of the Church of St. Peter in Wallingford, is likely from the late 18th century. It is made of stone and has a rectangular shape. The tomb features a moulded plinth and two rectangular panels on each side, which are decorated with cabled fluting in the middle and at the ends. There are single panels on the ends of the tomb. The inscriptions are carved and painted black with a black border. The flat top of the tomb has a shaped moulding along its edge.
