Description

Lower Hernes is a barn located approximately 50 metres north of Rotherfield Greys, likely dating from the early 18th century. The structure features a flint base with brick dressings, large timber framing, and weather boarding, topped with an old plain tile roof. It is a 5-bay barn with an aisle to the east and has central entries at both the front and rear, although the doors are missing. Inside, there are jowled wall posts and a queen-strut roof.
