Description

Cowfields Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with additions from the 18th century and early 20th century. The building is timber framed with brick infill and some render in the center, while brick is used on the left and right sides. It has a plain tile roof and brick stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic on the left and features a five-window range. There is a queen post cross-gable on the left side, with two mullioned and transomed windows on the ground floor and a three-light casement window on the first floor. An additional casement window is located in the attic. On the left, there is a two-storey angled early 20th-century bay under a gabled king-post roof, which includes a casement window on the first floor and a 20th-century panelled and studded door flanked by windows. To the right, there are two queen post cross-gables, one of which has a two-window range with casements in all openings except for the first floor right, which features a projecting wooden oriel under a lean-to roof. The right cross gable has a single window on the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
