Description

This chest tomb, located approximately 16 meters east-southeast of the chancel of the Church of St. Leonard in Watlington, commemorates John Hayward and dates to around 1828. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a moulded plinth and cornice, along with reeded pilasters. There are two oval inscribed and marbled panels on each side of the tomb. This structure is included for its group value.
