Description
Bulrushes is an early 18th-century farmhouse, now a house, situated on the north side of Cuxham Road in Watlington. The front of the building is stuccoed, with coursed chalk and brick quoins and dressings to the rear. It has a gabled roof tiled in modern materials and brick end stacks. The house follows a three-unit plan, with a two-storey, three-window front. A modern porch and entrance door are present. The windows have an irregular arrangement of segmental and flat arches above mid-19th century horned sash windows, along with one 2-light first-floor casement. Other features include 2-light leaded casements and a central dairy outshut to the rear. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to be of interest.
