Description
Nos. 10 and 11 on Thorpe Street are two houses that were formerly a single residence, dating from the late 17th century. The building has a brick base and is rendered, likely over timber framing, topped with a recent plain-tile roof. It features a brick ridge stack located to the left of center and an end stack on the right. The structure follows a 3-unit lobby entry plan and is two stories high with a four-window range. There is a six-panel part-glazed door positioned to the left of center, which is sheltered by a 19th-century timber-framed porch with a gabled roof. The windows are irregularly arranged and mostly consist of two-light wood casements. The interior is noted for its extensive beaming.
