Description
Wick Farmhouse, located to the west of a pair of gatepiers and an attached wall approximately 60 meters to the south, dates from the 18th century, although part of the wall is earlier. The gatepier is made of limestone and has been largely rebuilt, but it still features part of a Corinthian architrave and the base of a finial. The adjoining wall has a moulded and carved coping that slopes down before rising to meet the pier. This rubble wall, which has remnants of a steep coping, returns towards Wick Farmhouse and is likely from the 17th century, with an earlier section made of squared rubble. The original cap of the gatepier, which includes a modillion cornice, can be found in the farmyard. A matching gatepier and wall to the east retain more architectural detail.
