Description

The Dantredg memorial is a headstone located approximately 6 meters south of the nave of Dorchester Abbey. It dates from the late 17th century and is made of limestone. The small stone features a head shaped with scrolls on either side of a skull. A recessed panel on the memorial carries an inscription, which is now nearly illegible, commemorating William Dantredg. This memorial is included for its group value with the surrounding historical context.
