Description
Tallis House is an 18th-century house that has been altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone rubble with squared quoins and features an old plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. The building has an L-plan layout and is two storeys high, with a two-window front. The entrance door is located to the right of the centre and has a semi-circular overlight above it. On either side of the door are two large canted bay windows that have moulded stone cornices. The first floor features two-light casements, all of which have 20th-century frames. The rear wing is made of uncoursed rubble. To the left of the front, there is a short wall and ashlar gatepiers with moulded cornices that match the bays. In front of the building, there are cast-iron railings with a gate. The interior has not been inspected.
