Description
Nos. 92 and 93 on High Street are two houses built in the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. They are constructed from grey brick with red brick dressings and feature an old plain-tile roof, along with a brick ridge stack positioned to the right of the center. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic and have a two-window range.
On the ground floor, there is a six-panel door with a fanlight to the left and a four-panel door with a fanlight to the right. To the left of center, there is a 12-pane unhorned sash window with a cambered brick head, while to the right of center, there is a 12-pane horned sash window, also with a cambered brick head. A flat brick band runs between the ground and first floors.
On the first floor, there are two 12-pane unhorned sash windows with architrave surrounds and cambered brick heads. The eaves feature a dentil course. There is a flat-roofed dormer on the right with a 12-pane unhorned sash, and a 20th-century flat-roofed dormer on the left with a 9-pane unhorned sash. The interior has not been inspected. These houses are included for their group value.
