Description

This barn, dating from the 17th century, is located approximately 20 meters southeast of Coates Farmhouse, which is not included in the listing. The structure features 20th-century weatherboarding over a timber frame set on a base of brick and flint. It has a gabled roof covered with old tiles and an aisled four-bay plan. The barn also has a raking roof above 20th-century corrugated iron doors. Inside, there is a four-bay queen-post roof with clasped purlins, windbraces, and braced and jowled posts.
