Description

The Former Church of St John the Baptist is a church now in ruins, likely dating from the 12th century. It features a nave and chancel, which were remodeled in 1791 and restored in 1880 by L. Wyatt. The building is constructed of flint with stone dressings, and has brick buttresses supporting the nave. There is a brick tower with a plain tile roof over the chancel. The nave, chancel, and west tower are present, and the Gothick tower has a round base and a hexagonal battlemented top.
