Description
The Jewson Kitchen and Bath Showroom is a house that has been converted into a showroom. It likely dates from the mid-18th century, with a 19th-century extension and 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of flint with red brick dressings and grey brick with red brick dressings, topped with a plain tile roof and featuring brick end stacks. It stands two storeys high and has a three-window range. The central entrance is a 20th-century sash door, and all window openings have 12-pane sashes. The right-hand return wall is made of flint with brick dressings and includes inset ammonites, while the rear elevation is blind and also constructed of flint. The interior has been remodelled. To the left, there is a prominent 19th-century two-storey extension with a one-window range, featuring 12-pane sashes on each floor. The building occupies a prominent position at right angles to the road.
