Description
Old Bakehouse is a house that likely dates from the 18th century, with a front that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick featuring grey headers and a diaper pattern on the first floor. The roof is made of plain tiles and is half-hipped on the left side. There is an early 18th-century brick ridge stack on the right. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a three-window range. A 20th-century half-glazed door is located at the centre, with 19th-century shop windows on either side. To the left, there is a plank garage door, and to the right, a 6-pane sash window. A decorative brick band runs between the ground and first floor. The first floor features three 16-pane sash windows, and there is a shaped cornice at the eaves. A raking dormer is present on the left side. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
