Description

The Mill House at Cuddesdon Mill is a house dating to the 17th century, with a gable stone inscribed “B S/176(?)”. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, topped with a plain-tile roof and brick gable stacks. The house has a double-depth plan and a symmetrical three-window facade. The ground floor has a central six-panel door sheltered by a 20th-century hood, flanked by three-light casement windows set within segmental arches. The first floor has three-light casement windows flanking a single-light window with a flat arch. All casements are from the late 20th century. The house features ashlar quoins, storey bands, and an eaves cove. The double-span roof has three gabled roof dormers, each with two lights and leaded glazing. The interior has not been inspected.
