Description
The entrance screen, located approximately 60 meters southwest of the Manor House in Great Milton, was constructed around 1908 by E.P. Warren. It is made of yellow limestone and features four piers with moulded caps and bases, topped with ball finials. The two central piers, which have panelled fronts and backs, are set back and hold wrought-iron gates. These gates are connected to the outer piers by curving railings that include decorative panels and finials, all resting on a low wall. This entrance screen serves as a continuation of the wall that contains the former entrance gates from the late 16th century and is included for its group value.
