Description
The chest tomb and two headstones are located approximately 19 meters southeast of the chancel of the Church of St. Andrew. They date from around 1740 and are made of stone. The chest tomb is rectangular with a moulded base and features two fielded inscribed panels on each side, along with single panels on each end. The top edge has a moulding.
The headstone for Barton Day, dated around 1743, has an inscribed shaped panel with rolled edges and a winged head surrounded by a rococo design at the top. The inscription reads, "Here Lieth the Body of Barton Day, he dyd April ye 24th 1743 Aged 81 years."
The headstone for Sarah Day, dated around 1731, features an inscribed shield-shaped panel adorned with floral garlands on the sides and a winged head at the top. The inscription states, "Here lyeth the body of Sarah, the Wife of Barton Day, whoe died Nov ye 8 1731 Aged 67 years."
