Description

No 65 on Friday Street is a 17th century or earlier timber-framed house. It features a pink stucco facade with the edge of a timber bressumer visible at the first floor. The house has a steeply pitched, old tiled roof with an end bargeboard and a wide moulded bracketed eaves cornice. It is two storeys high and includes a gabled dormer. There are two early 19th century casement windows and a small bracketed hood above the door. The building is picturesque and is part of a group that includes Nos 5 to 35 (odd), 45 to 65 (odd), Old Timbers, Friday Cottage, and No 73, in association with Nos 4 and 6, No 10, Nos 14, 14A and 16, Nos 54 and 56, The Anchor Hotel, and Baltic Cottage opposite with Baltic House Thameside.
