Description
This building is a barn located approximately 70 metres north of Manor Farmhouse, dated 1815. It consists of three barns that have been linked to form one structure, reusing materials from the 15th-century Cowpers barn. The construction features a mix of stone and flint with stone dressings on the left and centre, and red brick dressings on the right, topped with an old plain-tile roof.
The central barn has six bays, flanked by two barns with seven bays each. There are paired plank doors located at the centre, centre left, centre right, right, and left, along with five additional openings that also have plank doors. The roofs are half-hipped on the left and right sides, while the centre has a gabled roof. The principal roof is curved and incorporates some reused timber. The original Cowpers barn was approximately 100 metres long and 17 metres high, supported by square stone piers, but it was demolished in 1815, with its materials repurposed for this group of barns.
