Description
The Old Rectory is a rectory that has been converted into a house. It was remodeled and extended around 1820 from an earlier 18th-century house. The exterior is rendered with a gabled Welsh slate roof and has rendered end and internal stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and is two stories tall, featuring a symmetrical seven-window range arranged in a 2:3:2 pattern with a central canted bay. There are pilasters supporting a flat hood that frames a 20th-century door with a Regency overlight to the left of the bay, and 20th-century French windows in the entry to the right of the bay. The windows are early 19th-century sashes, and there is a raised storey band on the two left bays. The rear also features early 19th-century sashes. Inside, there are early 19th-century doors and fireplaces, along with a plain staircase that has stick balusters.
