No 18 Hart Street is an early 18th century facade attached to an older building. It features silver grey brick walls with red quoins and window surrounds, along with a moulded bracketed wooden cornice at the eaves. The roof is hipped and covered with old tiles. The building has three storeys and six windows, which are sashes with glazing bars. The entrance door has a plain wooden architrave surround, complemented by plain scroll brackets and a moulded hood. There is an adjoining two-storey stable entrance, which is made of stucco and also has an old tiled roof. A projecting first-floor canted bay features a moulded cornice and glazing bars. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 8 (even), Nos 14 to 36 (even) including Adam House, Nos 40 and 44, as well as gates and piers 48 and 50, The Old School House, and the Rectory Garden Wall, forming a cohesive architectural context with Nos 5 to 39 (odd), the Drinking Fountain, the Parish Church of St Mary, and the raised pavement at the east end of Hart Street.
