Description

The listing describes two barns and stables located approximately 20 metres east of Huntercombe Manor. The earlier barn is probably from the early 18th century, with alterations in the early 20th century. It has a base of flint with red brick dressings, large timber framing with weatherboarding, and a plain-tile roof. A brick end stack is visible on the left side. The barn is six bays long, with an aisle to the rear. A projecting, hipped-roofed entrance bay was added in the 20th century, featuring double-panelled doors on the return to the right. There are also 20th-century three-light wood mullion and transom windows under a lean-to roof that continues the main roof slope. The roof has a curved profile with wind-bracing. A later barn, likely from the late 18th century, adjoins the first barn. It features a brick base, timber framing with weatherboarding, and a plain-tile roof; it covers four bays and has double plank doors to the left of centre with a curved principal roof. A 19th-century, six-bay stable is situated to the right, with a king-post roof of sawn timber.
