Description

No 36 on Holywell Street is a house and shop that likely features an 18th-century refronting of a 17th-century structure, though it has been significantly altered. The building is three stories tall and has a stuccoed timber frame, with a shop front and coachway on the east side. It includes three 18th-century sash windows set in plain wood frames, each topped with blind hoods. The back of the building appears to be older, showcasing a renewed gable in a 17th-century style and remnants of a group of red brick shafts. Interior alterations were made in 1967. This building is part of a group of listed buildings on the north side of the street.
