Description
The Manor House, located on Mill Lane, dates back to the 17th century but has undergone modernisation. It features a two-storey front that is stuccoed and battlemented, with a parapet behind a modern tiled roof. The front has modern sash windows, some of which include glazing bars. The eastern side of the house is similar but includes a projecting porch and a stone slate roof, which has three gabled attic dormers. The end gables are topped with stone copings, and there are cement-faced stacks, one of which has a moulded base.
Inside, part of a 17th-century staircase remains, along with some white-painted panelling from the 17th to 18th centuries on the first floor. The exposed ancient roof timbers are simply constructed with wind braces. The house is situated on a terrace above the road, supported by a stone retaining wall and adorned with wrought iron railings featuring alternating plain and twisted rails, along with a gate.
