Description

The screen and gates of the College for Further Education, built in 1880, are contemporary with the college itself and designed by T G Jackson. The structure features a stone plinth wall topped with cast-iron railings. It includes five piers adorned with cornices and ball finials, as well as rusticated gate-piers that also have cornices and ball finials supported by console brackets. The entrance is marked by cast-iron gates.
