Description

The College for Further Education, formerly known as the City of Oxford High School for Boys, was built in 1880 to designs by Sir Thomas Jackson. It is constructed from Bladon stone with Clipsham dressings. The building underwent additions in 1895, 1915, and 1935. The north front features two storeys of ashlar stone, with a prominent centerpiece, porch steps, and a gable. It has a balustraded parapet and a brown tiled roof. The windows are three-light stone mullioned and transomed, with elliptical heads, and there is a clock situated in the gable.
