Description
Medley Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that includes a doorway in the garden wall. It consists of an altered 17th-century building facing south, with a late 18th-century wing attached to the northwest. The main building is two storeys high and made of coursed rubble, likely originally built in the early 17th century and altered in the 18th century, possibly when the northwest wing was added. A stone stack projects from the southwest angle. The farmhouse features sash windows, a modern porch, and a glass house, topped with a hipped roof of stone slates. The northwest wing is three storeys high, also made of rubble, with a stone slate hipped roof. Its west elevation has five two-light casement windows with segmental stone architraves; two ground floor windows on the south side have been altered to sash windows. A modern stone three-sided bay with sashes and a stone roof is located on the south end of the ground floor. There is also a pent on the east side. In the garden wall on the east side of the main building, there is a reset 16th-century stone doorway featuring moulded jambs, a four-centred arch, carved spandrels, and an angel holding a defaced shield at the center of the arch.
