Description
The Limes is a house located on the south side of Green in Binsey. The original structure appears to have been L-shaped with wings to the north and east, and it may date back to the 17th century. The building has undergone alterations, restorations, and additions over time. It is two storeys high and features roughcast and brick construction, topped with stone slate and Welsh slate roofs. The older section has a central moulded stone-based stack with a modern red brick chimney and one red brick end stack. The house includes casement windows. To the south of the east wing, there is a two-storeyed addition from the 19th century made of red brick, featuring a Welsh slate hipped roof, a red brick stack, and sash windows. Additionally, to the east of the east wing, there is a two-storeyed stuccoed addition with a Welsh slate roof and casement windows.
