Description
15 and 16 Holywell Street is a house and two shops that likely began as a single building from the 16th or 17th century and was remodeled in the 18th century. The structure is three stories tall, featuring stuccoed timber framing on cellars, topped with a modern brown tiled hipped roof and modern red brick stacks. The ground floor was refronted in rubble in 1970. Number 16 has a single gable, while the back of Number 15 has two gables. On the first floor, Number 15 has a double sash window in a plain frame, and Number 16 has a sash window in a moulded frame with an architrave. The second floor of Number 15 features one sash window, while Number 16 has a modern two-light casement window. All the listed buildings on the north side of Holywell Street form a group.
