Description
Williamscot House features an orangery, originally a dovecote, which was remodeled in the 17th century and again in the late 18th century. The attached kitchen garden wall dates from the late 18th and 19th centuries. The orangery is constructed of ironstone ashlar and has a hipped wood and glazed roof. It is a single storey with a four-window range, and the entrance is located on the right side. The garden front showcases semi-circular headed windows with Gothick glazing bars. Inside, there are three chamfered stone and brick piers, and the walls are lined with brick. The kitchen garden wall, attached on the left, is made of red brick laid to English bond and features limestone coping, with the ends swept. It stands approximately 3 metres high.
