Description

The bridge at Somerton Lock is a canal bridge built around 1790. It is constructed of brick and features a narrow depressed arch with a projecting half-brick hood. Solid parapets rise over the arch and curve outward to square brick piers. Both faces of the bridge have early stone plaques inscribed with the number "151". This bridge is connected to Somerton Lock and is part of a group with the Lock Cottage.
