Description
These stables, located approximately 10 meters south of The Old Priory, are likely from the 18th century. They are constructed of colourwashed limestone rubble with squared quoins and wooden lintels, topped with a Welsh-slate roof. The building is a single range and has two storeys. The front features an irregular arrangement of windows, including four on the first floor along with a central loft door, and on the ground floor, there are two wide and two narrow entrances plus three windows. The interior has not been inspected. The rear wall of the stables is part of the garden wall of The Old Priory and the structure may be situated on the site of one of the medieval gates to Bicester Priory.
