Description
29 Causeway is a shop and dwelling that dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone rubble and features wooden lintels. The roof is made of Welsh slate and concrete plain tiles, with brick gable stacks. The building has an L-plan layout, consisting of two storeys plus an attic.
The front of the building has two windows, with 12-pane sash windows on the first floor and enlarged 20th-century shop windows below. The right gable wall, which faces Church Lane, includes an inserted doorway and renewed casements on the first and second floors, along with two narrow stair windows. The lower rear wing, which extends from the gable wall, has a renewed two-light casement window, reduced from three lights, and a sash window on the first floor. The rear of the main range is rendered and features a gable with a stack. The roofs are steeply pitched. The interior has not been inspected.
