Description
The White Hart Inn is an inn that likely dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed from part-roughcast limestone rubble with wooden lintels and features old plain-tile roofs. The building consists of a main range and a long rear wing, both of which are two storeys high. The roughcast front includes a flat-roofed rubble ground-floor extension that was largely rebuilt in the 20th century. However, it still retains a 12-pane sash window on the first floor, along with a similar sash window in a further bay to the left, which extends over a vehicle entry. The rubble rear wing, which returns on the right, has casement windows. A gabled stair projection rises at the angle of the ranges. Inside, the inn features heavy chamfered beams.
