Description
Laneside House is a building that consists of two houses now combined into one dwelling. It dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century, with some 18th-century elements. The structure is made of limestone rubble and features a thatched roof, along with coursed squared rubble that has a concrete plain-tile roof. The earlier thatched section is a single range with one storey plus an attic, which includes three half dormers, a four-light casement window on the ground floor, and two 20th-century sash windows, one of which has replaced a doorway. The taller section to the right has three windows with 12-pane unhorned sashes and an entrance on the left that is accessed through a 20th-century porch. The roof features 20th-century dormers and rebuilt gable stacks. The interior has not been inspected, and a 20th-century extension to the right is not considered to have special architectural interest.
