Description
This is a canal building located approximately 10 meters west of King's Sutton Lock on the Oxford Canal, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a Welsh-slate roof. The building is a single range and has one storey. The front includes a wide cart entry on the right, a narrower central doorway, and two 2-light casements on the left. The right end has another wide entry below a loft door. All openings are topped with segmental arches, and the roof has a shallow pitch. Above the cart entry, there is a lock name-board. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of a close group that includes King's Sutton Lock, the lock-keeper's cottage, and the bridge, and it is included for its group value.
