Description
The Old Bakery is a house dating from the early 18th century, constructed from finely jointed ironstone ashlar. It features a 20th-century roof and has two brick end stacks, one of which is rendered. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door that includes two glazed panels and is topped with a 20th-century hood. On either side of the doorway are two wooden mullioned and transomed windows, each with stone flat arches. The first floor also has two similar windows. Above the door is an illegible date plaque, with the date noted as 1740. Inside, there is a plank door leading to the attic, a wooden winder stair, a chamfered bressumer, and stop-chamfered beams.
