Description
The northern gatepier, dating from the early to mid 18th century, is located approximately 25 meters south of The Manor House on Adderbury Hill Lane. This gatepier is constructed from marlstone ashlar and features a square shape with banded rustication and a projecting hanging strip. It has a moulded cornice and is topped with a rusticated ball finial. This gatepier is part of a pair that marks the entrance to The Manor House. It may have been relocated from Adderbury House, where a similar pair of gatepiers can be found in the stable block. The gatepier is included for its group value.
