Description

North Bank and the attached outbuilding is a substantial house dating from the early 18th century, with possible earlier elements. The building is constructed of coursed squared marlstone and ashlar, topped with a concrete plain-tile roof that features ashlar and brick end stacks. It likely follows a central-stair plan with a subsidiary range and is designed in a Baroque style.

The house is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window ashlar front on the main range. This front includes a plinth and storeybands that are linked by corner strips. The central doorway is framed by a fine moulded stone doorcase, which features an eared architrave with a projecting keyblock, and a cornice that breaks around it. The first-floor windows are 20-pane sashes with moulded stone architraves and sills, also featuring projecting keyblocks. The ground floor has two renewed shallow canted bay windows. The steep-pitched roof is adorned with gable parapets.

To the right, there is a subsidiary rubble bay that has an additional entrance and a three-light casement window on the ground floor, along with a renewed sash window on the first floor. The rubble outbuilding extends further to the right and has a steep-pitched corrugated-asbestos roof, which includes another entrance and a garage entrance. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
