Description
Homecroft Cottage is a small house, probably built in the 18th century. The ground floor is made of brick that has been painted white on the front, while the first floor is tile-hung. It features a peg-tile roof and end stacks. The house faces east and overlooks Matfield Green, with a two-cell plan where the left room is slightly larger and includes a rear outshut. The exterior has two storeys and a slightly asymmetrical two-window front. There is a 20th-century gabled porch to the right of the centre and a 20th-century glazed front door. The windows consist of two tripartite sashes on both the first and ground floors, likely dating from the late 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
