Description
The Coach Houses comprise a pair of coach houses, dating to circa 1738. Originally part of Fowler’s Park, they are now houses. The building is constructed of red brick with a slate roof. It is two storeys high, with a plat band and a red brick dentil eaves cornice to the hipped roof. A projecting, pedimented centre piece features a clock face in the pediment, and above it is a louvred cupola with a leaded ogee-dome and weather-vane. The first floor has four half-size glazing bar sashes, and a central loft door consisting of six raised and fielded panels. Below, there are gauged round-headed openings paired to the left and right; the outer openings contain glazing bar sashes, a glazed door is to the right, and an opening is bricked up to the left. Two central carriage openings are segmentally headed, with gauged surrounds, traceried fanlights, and glazed doors and sidelights.
