Description
This is a triple headstone located approximately 5 meters south of the porch of the Church of St Martin, dating from around 1762. It commemorates members of the same family, although the surname is not recorded. The headstone is made of broad upright sandstone and stands about 500 millimeters high. It features a triple-headed shape at the top, with each head carved with the same design: a winged cherub head adorned with rosettes above crossed trumpets. There are three inscriptions, each starting in Gothic lettering and followed by Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. The panels, from left to right, record the deaths of an infant named Thomas in 1756, Mary in 1760, and Elizabeth in 1762.
