Description
No 4 Calverley Park is an early Victorian villa built in 1746. Originally part of a pair with No 3, it has undergone significant alterations. The building features wings added below the gable ends to the north, east, and west. Constructed from local stone designed to resemble bricks, it has a stone base and long and short quoins. The villa is L-shaped, with two storeys and attics, topped by a tiled roof with gable ends on each wing and at the south end of the east front. The newer additions are stuccoed and range from two to three storeys, also with tiled roofs and scalloped bargeboards. The villa has mullioned and transomed windows. Nos 1 to 24 in Calverley Park form a group with Keston Lodge and Victoria Lodge.
