Description

The Old Forge is a former forge, now converted into garages, likely dating from the 19th century. The south end wall is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, while the remainder features weatherboarded timber-framing on brick footings. The building has a peg-tile roof and is designed as a long, low block oriented roughly north to south. The exterior includes a gable-ended block with three 20th-century garage doorways. Although the interior was not inspected, this former forge adds variety and interest to the well-preserved estate village.
