Description

Bankside is a house that likely dates from the 16th century or earlier, with alterations and extensions made in the 18th century. The building features a timber frame and is weather boarded on the ground floor, while the first floor has painted tile hanging and a plain tiled roof. It has a lobby entry plan that extends to the right. The house is two storeys high with a garret, and it has a half-hipped roof that steps down to a lower half-hip at the right side. There is a central stack with an illegible date plaque.

On the first floor, there are three wooden casements with three lights and a glazing bar sash to the right. The ground floor has a sash window, two unequally sized bays, and a glazing bar sash. The front door, located to the centre right, has two raised and fielded panels and is topped by a large flat hood supported by moulded brackets. There is also a boarded door to the right with a small flat hood on brackets. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot.
