Description

This chest tomb is dedicated to William Durrant, who died around 1800, and is located about 15 metres east of the Church of St Lawrence in Hawkhurst. The tomb sits on a stone platform and features a moulded base. It has urn-shaped moulded corner piers and fielded side and end panels that are decorated with Greek key patterns at the corners. The top slab is also moulded.
