Description
Walnut Trees is a 15th-century priest's house that has been truncated and incorporated into a larger house during the 18th century. The building features a timber frame with a red brick ground floor and a tile-hung first floor. It has a plain tiled roof with a very large projecting brick stack on the left and another stack on the ridge to the right. The house is two storeys high and has an irregular three-window arrangement with glazing bar sashes. The entrance is located in a lean-to extension to the left of the chimney breast, featuring a boarded door. Behind this, there is a two-storey block that is panelled. This house includes part of the original Priest's House, which was attached to the Chapel of the Holy Trinity. A milkhouse associated with the property was suppressed in 1550 and was finally demolished in 1840.
