Description
Stable court, located about 20 metres west of Conghurst, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed from sandstone blocks and features slate roofs. The courtyard includes a single-storey hipped block on the left, which has a boarded half door with a rectangular fanlight and wooden casement windows, along with a plain wall at the rear. To the right is a gabled wing that also has a half-door and casement windows, as well as a gabled return wing at the front right, which is fitted with sliding gates across the courtyard opening. On the left, there is an additional hipped single-storey block, currently used for garaging, featuring a boarded door in a weather-boarded opening to the left, a central boarded door, and casement and carriage doors to the right. This block is connected to Conghurst by a stone wall approximately 6 feet high, which includes a boarded gate at the east end.
