Description
David Salomon's House East Lodge is a cross-gabled roof-plan lodge completed in 1895. The ground floor is made of ashlar stone, while the upper part is timber-framed with roughcast infilling. The roof is tiled and features a central stone stack dated 1894, which displays Salomon's family crest. Each elevation has a gable with stone coping topped by a lion. Casement windows are arranged on all sides, except for the north side, which has a two-window facade flanking a central entrance. The entrance is protected by a hipped weather porch with stone lions above it and features a round-headed doorcase. The supporting columns of the porch are decorated with cherub heads.
