Nos 146, 146A, and 148 on High Street is a building dating from the 18th century, now divided into two shops with premises above. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring three windows and one blocked window space. The facade includes three gabled dormers and is constructed of painted brick with a wooden eaves cornice. The roof is tiled, and the glazing bars are intact above the ground floor. The shop fronts have been modernized. No 148 extends back into a small warehouse that faces Castle Street. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 136 to 148 (even), including No 146A.
